Collaboration is our jam.
We have an ambitious goal: disrupt how people make health care decisions. We can only achieve that goal together, through communication, collaboration, and our collective creativity.
What do you like most about working at Vitals?
Born in Denver, CO and lived in Ft. Lupton CO until I was 8. Moved to Pryor Creek, OK in 1992 and lived there through high school. Moved to Tulsa in 2003 to attend University of Tulsa and stuck around ever since.
Highly collaborative work, and freedom to experiment with approaches to solving important problems in the organization.
In general, I’m energized by having clear and important goals and am frustrated by lack of direction or information. I tend to assume the best about people and call them forth towards their most noble intentions. I enjoy evoking change rather than convincing or coercing it. I believe in telling truth but doing so only when I’m in touch with the pain and vulnerability of telling it. My goal is to leave Vitals better than I found it and with no dependencies on me for continued flourishing.
It probably sounds like a cliché but it’s definitely the people. This is the most diverse company I have worked in and I love how everyone brings something different to the table. We joke a lot, we laugh, and are also there to support each other during difficult times.
I get exposed to a wide variety of work. I can work on anything from various technical accounting issues to planning a Halloween party, to learning how to manage different personalities, to crafting the new company values. I get bored fairly quickly, but I haven’t been bored at Vitals one day. I also had an opportunity to advance in my career from Director to a Vice President and become involved in a high level work. I’m thankful for all the time this company invested in me and it makes the work so much more rewarding.
I have traveled to 30+ countries and I’m looking forward to exploring the rest of the world with my hubby and kids. The unlimited PTO policy at Vitals definitely fits nicely with my love for travel.
I’ve been employed at Vitals for 6 years. As a program manager I’ve been given the opportunity to develop standard processes and guides to help ease the day to day responsibilities by creating a sense of consistency. I have also been afforded the opportunity to work on various company initiatives triggered to further improve what’s already a successful company. Finally, the role has expanded in working with various departments providing me knowledge and understanding of the type of work done and the challenges faced in accomplishing goals. Having the opportunity to peek in these windows gives me a better appreciation of how all of these components move and connect to bring us Vitals.
VitalsFEVER is a wonderful program dedicated in uniting everyone through events, charity opportunities, and educational efforts to build camaraderie. It’s a chance to celebrate the most important aspect of Vitals… the people. My work in VitalsFEVER is of coordination, organization, planning and execution of various events with a healthy dose of fun and laughter.
The two things that I most enjoy in my current role is planning and managing the implementation of projects, as well as creating standards and documentation (which many may see as tedious and boring) but I find exciting because it pushes me to be creative each and every time.
